– Ahmed Zewail conducted pioneering research on studying chemical reactions at the femtosecond level (one millionth of a billionth of a second).

– Through his research, he was able to image molecules during chemical reactions using laser beams, which was an unprecedented achievement.

– This research opened new horizons for a deeper understanding of chemical and biological processes.

2. Nobel Prize:

– He received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1999 for his pioneering research in femtosecond chemistry.

– He was the first Egyptian and Arab to receive this award in the field of chemistry.
